Fun little book for my fan of a certain fun little car!,
I bought this for my husband the MINI-fan. I am lucky wife in that his midlife crisis involved a MINI Cooper rather than a Porsche or a blonde (or a blonde in a Porsche). As such, I encourage his love of all things MINI.
In any case, with regard to the book, so far both kids and I have been through it, and my poor husband has been reduced to looking at other presents for now. The book is full of history, details, specs, development etc. as well as plenty of pictures. There’s also a lot about some concept/special version cars (for example, the picnic version and the XXL/stretch limo complete with a brunette in the back…) which are a lot of fun to see as well.
The book goes through 2007 and is just the right size and content to make a fun gift. I’m sure the true die-hard enthusiast would appreciate about 12 more volumes (they are funny that way if my husband is any indication), but this is a very nice gift type book.
Recommended! A good 4.5, so I’ll round up!

An excellent overview of the history of the Mini and the development of the new MINI. As someone who has always been intrigued by the original Mini and is now an owner of the new MINI this book covers it all and connects the dots between the past and the present. The organization of the chapters and writing style capture the spirit of the car… it’s a FUN read and a welcome addition to any car enthusiast’s library.

It is a very nice book. It has lots of history and background on the Mini. The pictures are nice too.
